Thank You

When I’m stumbling through night’s thorny weeds

When the moonlight can’t penetrate my needs

You guide me out to an opening

We play in the water until the sun is free

Thank you for your kindness

Thank you in times of blindness

Mindful care you place everywhere

In the love we share

When my thoughts are fisted in a knot

When the world weighs like and anchored rock

You give me some kind of riddle

That has me wonder and unfurls the lock

Thank you for your spirit

Thank you in times of despair

The language rolls off your tongue

Into the love we share

When I’m lonely in wolves’ selfish howling

When I’m garish in my nightmares

you bring the wheat to me serving

The love we share

Thank you for your passion

Thank you for giving things to burn

Thank you for new things growing

In the love we share
